I spend a few minutes mashing keys on them when they're new. It seems to require a more firm touch than I like. The 1200 is like the 890 but with a touchscreen. I've noticed that the MX900 seems to work better than the MX890s I've done. I haven't had to do the minimum repeats thing. Oliver gives all of the advice that I was going to. If I ever get done with the rest of the RFID's, I'll post it in files. RFID 10 is the only one that I've tested completely. I started testing and keeping track of the bad joins, as I like using the MX980 for handheld TV remotes in DM systems. I just drag all joins onto the hard buttons of the Main page and punch through all devices to Main. I like the 980, but it is a little large for my tastes. Otherwise the 890 is a clear winner for me as a crestron one way handheld remote. I am going to try the min repeat 6 thing to see if that alleviates the problem. I recently just updated my 900 to an 890 at home, and I noticed the "firm" presses needed as well. > Has anyone came up with a new hack for the new software for the MX900? You have to do this for every single button.
Finally, you have to be sure that "minimum repeats when pressed" is set to 6 in the macro programming. In order to get RF to work, be sure you've defined a URC RF base station (I had MRF-260) and then be sure for each device under the "RF Control" tab in programming to have "RF" selected in the drop down, and pick the MRF gateway.
